Back from home…
Didn’t mean to forget you Budzy, but suddenly life became bit busier than it used to be. Yes, I went back Home (Sri Lanka) for a little vacation, where nothing had changed much for last one and half years, except that people seem to smile little less in Colombo. It was fun, though had spent most of the time on the road. Met some of college friends as well as online friends including Asanka, Oshadi, Amiyu, Prabhath and Mahangu. Most importantly, managed to get some work done. More on that later…
Finish reading the timeless classic, “Confessions of an Advertising man” by David Ogilvy, which I recommend, is a good read for anyone in the business of “competing for attention”. For the time being here’s an advice to remember, when a illustrator get into a jam with a troublesome client…
When the client moans and sighs,
Make his logo twice the size,
If he still should prove refractory,
Show a picture of the factory,
Only in the gravest cases
Should you show the clients’ faces!

Asela, I’d love to visit Sri Lanka. From the many photos I have seen of the place, it seems really pretty and green. Hope you had a wonderful time down there. Counting down for my Vietnam take off now :)
