Sri Lankan Festival in Tokyo
Went to the Sri Lankan festival at Yoyogi park. Wasn’t alive or interesting as much as I thought it would be. Except for the food. Which was quite good unlike what they serve in usual few Sri Lankan restaurants here. They could have done better, specially if they were thinking about promoting Sri Lanka as a tourist destination. Tea bags have done their job.
On the brighter side, met up and spent time with Mayu after ages and caught up with things, which was really nice. Drank a king-coconut after two years. Ran into a former colleague from Colombo, who couldn’t recognize me. Earned few karma points by explaining a nice old lady, that Sri Lanka and India are indeed two countries.
Anyways will be dropping in again tomorrow, for hoppers, with her and friends. If you are a lost Lankan soul in Tokyo, dying for some Kottu, Yoyogi park is the place to be for tomorrow.
