Paypal Japan
At last Paypal is offering their services in Japanese. God knows how long I have been waiting for this.
They seem to offer all of their merchant services in Japanese as well. Need to compare this with other competitive solutions.

I contacted Paypal Europe and they seemed not to know to much about this. Do you have any examples of sites with a Japanese paypal interface or even Paypal Japan. The ‘customized’ Japan interface I discovered was a few phrases in Kenji but still about 90% in English. Changed?

Jocko,
Though I haven’t used my self, Paypal seem to have a Japanese interface for their merchant tools.
Login to paypal, change language to Japanese. Then under Merchant Tools > Website Payments Standard (ウェブサイト支払いスタンダード), there’s a demo link (デモを見る) which shows Japanese interfaces for merchant tools.

I use Paypal Japan to transfer money from my bank account in Japan and send it to my Canadian Paypal account and withdraw to my Canadian Bank account. Basically, it becomes a free banking wire for me. The thing that really bad about Paypal Japan is that I cannot use my Yubin Chokin Account or Post Office Savings Account. The majority of Japanese hold a bank account at the Post Office, and we can’t even transfer from there. Thats why many people in Japan don’t use paypal. Partly it has to do with our banking system. We maybe high tech, but most transactions are still run through traditional banks with paper and bills are paid with bank transfers. Many ATMs aren’t even open for 24 hours like here in Canada. I wish my bank in Japan would have the services and convenience that the banks here have.
