Asela is a web designer/developer based in Tokyo. Specializing in interface design, user experience design, usability, accessibility and modern web development he strongly believes in the positive effect technology makes in human life.

Once upon a time, after stumbling upon a HTML article in a local IT magazine published in sunny Sri Lanaka, he started writing HTML in back page of school note books. And never looked back. He plays with XHTML, CSS, Javascrpits, Ruby and always in the look for new ways to empower human connections through internets.

Since coming to Tokyo in 2004, Asela worked with numerous creative agencies and as an independent consultant for clients such as Toyota and Vodafone. And co-founded web development studio CyberSynergy in 2005.

Today, living in a quiet suburb of Tokyo, while mixing Miracle Wonder at UltraSuperNew, Asela dreams about the day he will own a Golden Retriever.

He loves art, photography, reading and Butter Naan.

Sri Lanka

Though it’s a beautiful land with over 6000 years of prestigious history behind, unfortunately in last 500 years or so, it had been a colony for 3 western nations; ending the golden era of kings, damaging most of local roots, traditions and skills, while leaving behind a civil war which has been ruining the country for more than 22 year. Despite all these, and the recent tsunami which almost devastated 2/3 of the island’s coastal areas, Sri Lanka is still a land full of smiling friendly people.
